Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico with a family that loved music. She spent the majority of her childhood listening to classic music and boleros of the past, classic ranchero or romantic music and classic classical music. Ana is a fan of tangos. Also, she loves operas and any form theatrical performance. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her and sister, she began more intense singing lessons at the age of 16, under the direction of the renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. In 2000, she relocated to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007 she moved to her new home in Southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. as a music teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in many projects in the community because of her love and passion for music. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates having the chance to share her love and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to impart a desire, especially among younger generations to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
